cinnamon pecan chocolate chip cookies.
This recipe is literally off the chocolate chip bag! I love it the most. I add cinnamon and more chocolate chips and add my favorite nut to bake with– pecans! They come out wonderfully buttery and chewy! I have also made this recipe using Coconut Butter like this one from Earth Balance, and they are SO GOOD — and healthier too!
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened ( OR COCONUT BUTTER!)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large egg
1 (12 ounce) package Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts are my fave)
Cookie Baking Directions
PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees F.
COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
BAKE for 7- 9 minutes or until golden brown but slightly gooey! The cookies will harden a bit after they cool and they will be super moist and chewy!
